Of course the country has great problems like corruption, drugs, crime, or unemployment but I think it's still quite safe if you know how to behave and what places to avoid. And that could be said for any country, really. So hopefully you will learn something from my blog and be able to enjoy your stay much more.
So in summary I'm going to talk about the basics of starting your new life in Cancun, talk about sound and economical living and give you some tips I learned from the locals.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say I really enjoyed looking through your articles. I was lucky enough to live / work in Cancun in 2005. Happy times, such friendly people. I even miss the supermarkets like Commercial Mexicana ! I used to work near Ty-coz and had forgotten about the place, so thanks for the flashback. I have started my own website about Cancun too. http://holidaycancun.co.uk
Hi Martin, I just wanted to say Thank you very much for all these information.
ReplyDeleteI'm leaving from Canada (Montreal) 3rd of December and I will stay in Cancun for 3 months for a same reason (escape winter) I had some worries but after reading on your site I have no more. I would like to ask you if you don't mind about place I have find to stay. I will have two roommates in place called "la alhambra, cancun" it's intersection of Av Copan with Pedernal Street. Do you think this safe neighbourhood?
Cheers
